CleanTech 2008

12th International Summit and Exhibition

for Environmental Quality, Water Technologies, Infrastructures and Renewable Energy

3th4th June 2008

Avenue- Convention & Events Center, Airport City, Israel

Introduction

The 12th CleanTech Exhibition for infrastructures, quality of the environment and water technology will take place at the Israel Fairs & Conventions Center in Airport City, Israel, during the 3th -4th June 2008.

We invite all the practitioners engaged in research, development, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of quality of the environment and water infrastructures and technologies to take part in the exhibition. In addition, the exhibition is planned to include professional conventions on the issues of sewage treatment, water, energy, quality of the environment, etc. The main areas of the exhibition:

Sewage - In the recent years we've witnessed rapid development in the area of sewage infrastructures in our economy. The State of Israel invests app. 500 NIS a year in building of new sewage infrastructures and in restoration and upgrade of the existing ones.

Exhibition's management assigns great importance to the treatment of sewage that shall enable to extend the supply of wastewater for various uses, including retrieval of these waters for various applications in agriculture, urban gardening, industry and electricity production. Purification of the sewages and their maximal utilization annihilates various bothersome phenomena through preservation of public health and quality of environment, and creates vital resources for the water economy. Organized settlement of the sewage area is an important layer in sustainable development of cleaner and less polluted environment

Water Technology - A topic that shall occupy an important place at the fair is the development of water technology in Israel, especially in light of the fact the Government of Israel finally decided to implement the "NEWTech Israel" Program for development of water industry in Israel. The goal is to make Israel a dominant factor in the global water market, which has an annual turnover of app. 400 billion dollars!

Experts estimate that the branch of water with all its extensions (irrigation, recycling, desalination, etc.) will grow manifold in the forthcoming years due to the global shortage of water. The current Israeli water industry export is 870 million dollars a year.

The 12th CleanTech Exhibition will be unique; due to fact that it is the first time it will take place separately from Agro-Mashov. Exhibition's management decided upon this change to enable expression for important topics that were, until now, underrepresented in the former format of the exhibition:

Infrastructures

Natural Gas - The State of Israel entered a process of establishing natural gas transportation system that shall supply natural gas to the Electric Company power stations, future private electricity manufacturers and industrial facilities across the state.

Aqua-Israel Ecological Exhibition shall serve as a catalyst in the facilitation of this process. The Exhibition will also display fuel and gas transportation technologies that ensure quality and safety and prevent damage to the quality of the environment.

Renewable Energy - The surge in oil prices and the aggravating problem of air pollution facilitate utilization of energy production alternatives using means purported to reduce our dependence on consumption of expensive and polluting fuels. The state of Israel must not lag behind other developed states - by increased utilization of renewable energies.

Aqua-Israel Ecological Exhibition will promote the technologies of this important field with the objective of increasing the utilization of electricity, produced from renewable energies.

Green Construction

Recent years witnessed an increase in "green construction", intended to achieve higher quality of life and healthier environment, through the reduction of the overall environmental impact of the building's construction process and utilization.

Aqua-Israel Ecological Exhibition shall emphasize the environmental aspects, which are their major consideration in planning and execution processes of green construction projects. In green construction the thinking is a long-term one, and preliminary planning of the environmental aspects of the project shall lead to a more qualitative, convenient product, consideration of the natural resources and the environment, and often very often be much more economic in the direct costs of the structure's operation.

Air Pollution

The damage caused to air quality is the price paid by the developed world countries. Unique local factors, such as population density, constant increase in the level of life and meteorological conditions aggravate this problem in Israel even further.

The State of Israel lags behind in the treatment of a problem causing morbidity and suffering to our citizens.

CleanTechl Ecological Exhibition decided to promote this issue and bring the importance of treating this problem to the knowledge of the public.
